Today, I arrived at Phuket International Airport around 7 p.m. by Thai Lion Air. I waited for an airport bus about 10 minute then it arrived. A driver of the airport bus greeted me “Sa-Wad-Dee-Ka” My destination was Phuket Bus Terminal 2, but the airport bus ran to the final destination, Phuket Bus Terminal 1. Therefore, I had to transfer to Phuket Bus Terminal 2 by a minibus. Since I rather chose a night flight, the minibuses had stopped its service. Thus, a conductor suggested me to get off at Tesco Lotus (Sam Kong). After that, Transfer to Phuket Bus Terminal 2 by a motorbike taxi rider.
Indeed, I could call an acquaintance to pick me up from the airport or got into a taxi to go to the destination. On the other hand, I didn’t do these. Foe me, if I want to travel extremely, it have to include the traveling. Sometimes, it doesn’t have the taste of the traveling if it is too easy. Therefore, my traveling had the taste since I got on the airport bus. There were many foreigners asked me for directions. Luckily, they asked for maps; otherwise, I could not help them. Moreover, the conductor was very polite. He suggested nearly every passenger that where they should get off and what kind of vehicles was suitable to transfer. Furthermore, he greeted and thanked passengers every time when they got on and got off. Great! If conductors in Bangkok can do just a half of him, I believe that buses are used satisfying more and more.
He suggested me to get off at Tesco Lotus (Sam Kong) for transferring to Phuket Bus Terminal 2 by a motorbike taxi rider. I got off the bus together with two monks, so I went straight to the monks and asked them that “Where is the motorbike taxi terminal?” They said immediately that “We are going to ask you either. Well! I thought that I felt relieved because I came together the monks. In brief, both I and they didn’t know either. Just a few minute, motorbike taxi riders followed one after another like I booked them in advance.
I used the service of a motorbike taxi rider to go to Phuket Bus Terminal 2. This situation was more humorous than former situation a little bit. It was the motorbike taxi riders got lose. Moreover, he braked and scratch his helmet then said that “Um! It isn’t this way. However, the local people could get lose in the dim area.”
When I arrived at Phuket Bus Terminal 2, I took a short cut to a guesthouse. Nevertheless, it was over 9 p.m. I needed to have a meal before went to bed. Wow! Although it was a hawker stall, food’s taste and a woman monger’s appearance made a southern man like me really satisfy. I arrived at the guesthouse around 9 p.m. regarded as I managed time better than I thought. Let’s go to bed. Keep the energy for traveling to Phi Phi Island tomorrow.
